Week 22: Extension to a 1930s house in Leiden

In the Lage Mors neighbourhood of Leiden, this house is currently being renovated by NXT Bouw from The Hague, based on a design by MW Architectuur. The property is being made more sustainable and prepared for the transition away from gas.

The ground floor is being redesigned. By installing a new staircase in the existing stairwell, the toilet has been moved from the kitchen to the hallway, creating space for an open and spacious kitchen.

The new extension will be built in the same style as the existing house, so that the property will once again feel like a single, cohesive whole.
