At the moment, the Apothekersdijk is working hard on restoring the roofs.
The existing construction is being thoroughly checked. The trusses and rafters are being repaired where necessary and - if nothing else - replaced in accordance with the existing structure.

This is a traditional job that is carried out with great care. When the construction is in order again, it is covered with wooden parts and insulated. Then the old tiles can be put back on the roof.

At the same time, discoveries are still being made in the building itself. A special piece of gold leather was found by employees of Erfgoed Leiden.
